About the photographer

Hi!

     I’m Elizabeth, a 27 year old photographer currently based in Southern California. My interest started in middle school, thanks to a science teacher I had who was a photographer on the side. I later joined an after school club that he ran, and I always admired the photos he took from the club’s trips. During that time I also took a brief photo class.

     Once I started high school, I quickly chose the beginner photography class as my extra curricular. I took it all 4 years, all the way up to Photo AP. It was film only and I loved it... minus the lingering smell of developer chemicals. During this time, I also joined the Yearbook team and took that for 3 years, and by my Senior year I became Baby Ads Editor.

     After graduating in 2012, I had the opportunity to start at a community college the following year. Between 2013-2016, I worked on my Associates in Fine Arts/Photography and was about 2/3 of the way completed.

     I haven’t had the chance to continue since, but during my time there I was lucky enough to gain a small group of photo friends. Unless the opportunity comes up to finish what I started, this just stays my hobby. ❤️

     I have had 4 years of film photography and the rest has been digital. In total I have been doing photography for about 12 years now!
